DONATE NOW!2009 celebrated the 25th Anniversary of Tessa Sanderson winning her Olympic Gold Medal. On the 6th August 1984 at the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles Tessa Sanderson won the Gold in the Womens Javelin and remains today the only British Woman to ever win a throwing Gold Medal.

Donate Now!The Newham Classic 10K run was created for the first time in 2009 by World Adventure Club (WAC) a company owned by Tessa before the TSFA was registered. Having achieved so much success with the local sports academy Tessa had started in the Borough of Newham the request made to Tessa for this type of event was great.

This series have been endorsed by the Owners City of London and the West Ham Park Managers who takes an active role every Sunday morning that the run takes place.
The run was started due to the heavy request TSFA was receiving following on from our Newham Classic 10K Run which was held in April 2009. Local residents and others from the surrounding Boroughs wanted to further continue to improve their fitness during the summer and winter months having enjoyed taking part in the Newham Classic 10K.

Real Wheel (Cycle Training Academy) this project is one of the most successful project to date that includes specialised coaches to teach young kids and special needs children with Learning disabilities to ride a bicycle within a short space of time. The Bicycle is specially adopted to suit the needs of young people between the ages of 6-17 year old in schools, colleges and community centres for a certain amount of sessions per week with minimal hours.

Global Sports Development is an American Organisation who has worked with many of the world’s leading bodies for the Cultural Olympiad such as IOC, Vancouver games, Athens Olympics to name a few.
Both GSD and TSFA have formed a unique partnership working with underprivileged youngsters from the United States and Great Britain in association with the Cultural Olympiad.
The programme is an exciting mentoring project which covers a broad spectrum of ideas about culture, education, sportsmanship and ethics of young people who engage in healthy sport.
The first set of youngsters from America will travel to the UK as part of the Cultural Olympiad and following this the youngsters from UK will do the same visit to America. TSFA and GSD will carefully select the youngsters from a wide background of underprivileged homes including single parents and those living in very deprived areas who is looking for a creative and vibrant opportunity to improving their lifestyle and culture through sport and education.
The programme covers many important areas within the social and health issues of the young. For Example:
Under these programme teachers, mentors, students and youngsters will engage in discussions about sport, peers, relationships and healthy choices. Following this all the participants from ages 5-18 are then asked to write an essay, a poem or create a piece of art that expresses their feelings about their perception of healthy sport.

The work created by all the youngsters will then be displayed at the Cultural Olympiad taking place during the youngsters visit to watch the world’s greatest athletes competes in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics games.
