Donate Now!The Tessa Sanderson Foundation and Academy extensively works with all schools from many different areas in collaboration with PE teachers. The Foundation work in partnership with schools to tackle the health and social issues amongst youngsters by formulating an activity programme to suit their needs.
Obesity, underage drinking and often physical disability are a major factor in many youngsters lives, this can lead to a large percentage of social and health issues, for example:-
The TSFA with its group of experienced sports coaches and mentors offers the opportunity to any youngster who wants to have a go at doing a sport and who wants to have the chance to combat these health and social issues and to lead a healthier lifestyle through healthy exercise, careful monitoring and mentoring of young people.
The PE teachers are asked by TSFA head coaches to inform the coaches about the progress of the kids. Once the kids have been identified, a follow up visit by the TSFA coaches to the school is then carried out. Often at this stage a talent identification process would then take place to include more youngsters to discover any sporting talent or ability to be nurtured with experienced coaching. If a special sports talent is unearthed the youngster would then become a part of the Tessa Sanderson Foundation and Academy and be coached by one of our qualified sports coaches to help the youngster to achieve a higher level in their sport whilst still in education.
